Getting back into the NBA: Orlando Magic extend their road losing streak

The Orlando Magic couldn’t hold onto a late lead and the Milwaukee Bucks were able to outlast the Magic, winning 97 to 91. The loss puts Orlando at 21-45 and marks their 9th straight road loss (just 6-8 under James Borrego).

The Magic led at half time by 3, but the Bucks were able to take command down the stretch and extend their lead in the closing minutes of the 4th quarter. The Bucks used a 12-2 run late to go ahead and never looked back. Its another disappointing game for the young Magic team as they continue to get leads in games, only to seem them slip away late.

Elfrid Payton had 14 points and 5 assists (3 turnovers). Nikola Vucevic had 19 points and 14 rebounds. Victor Oladipo had 14 points on 4 of 17 shooting as he has struggled the past two outings. Tobias Harris had 17 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 assists. Dewayne Dedmon had 2 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 blocks (maybe he isn’t a solid starter after all). Channing Frye had 13 points and 4 rebounds off the bench. Aaron Gordon had 7 points and 4 rebounds as well.

Orlando will head to Boston to take on the Celtics on Friday night at 7:30 PM. The Magic beat them 103 to 98 back at Amway Center on the 8th. I’m sure the Celtics will be looking for some revenge in that game while the Magic will be still trying to figure out how to win a road game after playing most of it with a lead.
