So, a while ago, I put together a list of some of my favorite cartoons of all time from the past. One of them was Samurai Jack, a series that followed the story of Jack, a Samurai that was blasted into a future. Jack had been fighting against an evil wizard now Aku, but in the future timeline, Aku is in full control and Jack must find a way to get back in time to save his family and way of live.
This series, that originally aired on Cartoon Network from 2001 to 2004 by Genndy Tartakovsky was a beautiful cartoon series that put together action, humor, a solid story line and beautiful animation all together. It was one of the few cartoons to my knowledge that could tell a story without any dialogue.
So, after a lot of rumors and speculation, the series is returning for 10 episodes in about a month on Cartoon Network as Jack returns to the TV to continue his quest. After watching the trailer, I am excited for its return. The trailer looks dark, desperate, and it appears Jack is at his end. Jack has been trying to find a way back for years, but after years, has not found a way, yet has not aged, only to suffer his current time for so many years. It looks great, looks deep, and we might finally get a conclusion to the series.
